For Ashley Code’s 17th birthday, 11 months before she succumbed to inoperable brain cancer, her parents fulfilled one of her wishes and presented her with a puppy. She named the maltipoo "Zuzu," after a character in her favorite movie, the 1946 classic “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
